My experience is particularly with Elder Scrolls/Fallout mods. Nothing gets improved by acting like a child. Taking your ball and going home only punishes the innocent people who legitimately enjoyed your work. You put something out there for the public, you no longer have complete control of it. I mean, you can do whatever you want with your work, even delete it, but there's a point when you just become completely immature and unreasonable. If game developers/publishers had the same attitude they had, then the market would cease to exist as everyone pulls all their products from stores to punish piracy and asset theft. They act like their work is somehow sacred and more respectable than the games they get their content from.

when the mods they made were ripping assets from other games and porting them to something else.Ī lot of these people just have a really inflated ego about their work. I can't tell you how many times I've seen modders for games throw a hissyfit when someone reuploads their mods to another site without their permission, and then go on a rampage deleting all their own mods from wherever they can find them.
